My experience was exceptionally good. MAKO seemed to be better both on the operation side and recovery. I only can go by what others have told me about their experiences with their operations not using MAKO and going with manual technology–most had more pain and longer recovery time. Also gluing my stitch closed and not using staples was nice and my physical therapy and pain level went very well due to using a more exact method. Making the operation more precise and accurate reduced my recovery time, and my pain level was in the 2 and 3 range on the pain scale from 1 to 10, comparing with others I have spoken with. I will be getting my other knee done June 3rd 2025 and will be using the MAKO system again so i will be two for two. Thank you, Dr.Park, and your staff. By TD(Verified Patient).

I had the MAKO for my surgery and I attribute my speedy recovery to that procedure, but I am no expert. I would recommend that procedure to anyone based on precision. By MD (Verified Patient).

Simply the best! I’ve been going to PAMF joint specialists for years but over the last 4-5 days developed excruciating pain in my knee. I called PAMF and they could not do anything to help me for 5 days. Maybe that wait would be ok for most people but I’m leaving for Europe for 9 weeks on Friday. In desperation I called San Mateo orthopedic group and not only were they kind and compassionate to my situation they had me see Dr. Dennis Parks within the hour! He did an X-ray, drained fluid off my knee and gave me a cortisone injection and a day later I’m not only feeling 1000% better but am excited again about my trip to Europe. Thank you to an amazing medical practice.

Amazing surgeon with extensive experience. Dr. Hazelrig was thorough in his evaluation of my knee, which had a torn meniscus, and thoughtful in suggesting options, not just rushing to propose surgery. In the end, I decided surgery was the best option and he did a fantastic job. I was walking around 2 days after surgery and back to normal within weeks. I recommend him without reservation. For more complex surgeries, Dr. Park in his office is also highly recommended.

Wanted to take a few minutes out of my day and tell everyone out there that needs a total hip replacement to look no further than Dr Hazelrig. He is an outstanding surgeon and a kind and warm human being. I was very apprehensive about having the surgery done and my fears were quickly eliminated. I had extreme hip pain and I can say after approximately 4 weeks after surgery I was healed and on the road to recovery.
He simply is the BEST

What an amazing and compassionate Doctor. I was lucky to have found him after I was misdiagnosed by another spine specialist. After 4 months I feel like my old self. He is so thorough and takes his time to educate you and explains step by step his treatment. You see the kindness in his eyes and it is so great to see this in a health system nowadays. He has been a god send and after seeing what is out there he is a true blessing. Keep doing what you do Dr. Felix Chen!!

I was impressed wth every interaction. From the reception when i first arrived and the friendly nature of the staff. I love that they have an xray available nearby as well. Dr. Park is very personable and thorough. Im glad I was able to see him in such short notice as well.
